The Link 3.4 release enables ordering of SIM cards in different form factors and improves the search function within the Connections view. Subscription of disturbance information is now also available via SMS and e-mail.

 

New features and major improvements in v3.4

New order module

Now, you can order SIM cards in different formats (nano, micro and mini), mixing both formats and mobile operators in one and the same chart.

To facilitate the ordering process, the ordering module is now found directly under the main menu [Order].

In coming releases, we will introduce the possibility to order products and features, i.e new communication plans and security functions directly in the same Order view.

 

New grid for displaying connections

The limitation in the number of SIM cards shown in the grid has now been removed, which results in better overall control and overview. The search function has been considerably improved, which also results in shorter response times.

 

Descriptions in notifications

For Link users, who have customized their monitoring groups, it is now possible to use the connection description fields in SMS and e-mails. This provides more detailed information instantly.

 

Service announcement

A new [Monitoring group], Service announcement, is introduced, which will enable the option to subscribe on notifications concerning incidents and planned maintenance.

All service announcements are now stored in a history log, in where you can find earlier notifications and trace which receivers have been notified.

 

Updated view and information when edit Connections

New format on the [Edit connection] view is introduced. The information is now grouped into logical sections, see figure below, which will make the information more accessible.

The section about [Session information] is new, and displays information about the current connection (Carrier, Operator, Country and Duration), which will provide useful information about the ongoing session.

 

 

Other improvements

  • Phone number is always validated when edited
  • The occasional sorting problems on VPN alive and VPN log are fixed
  • Double clicks are prevented on edit connection buttons

 

Bug fixes

  • Custom policies are no longer applied in Networks with [Connection Groups]
  • To prevent duplicated SIMs, the [Import] feature now validates each SIM before committing the transaction.
