Devices that connect with Link Connection can only traffic the mobile network within AddSecure’s own APN. The device’s data is protected within the mobile network and is sent only via the Link Network to which the device is connected. Connections using Link Access require OpenVPN and a certificate. All traffic passes through an encrypted tunnel, separate from ordinary Internet traffic.
Within the private network, each device is assigned its own, fixed IP address, which is hidden outside the network. These IP addresses are only accessible to computers that have been assigned a Link Access specifically for that network.
The customer has one or more administrators that log into Link Manager. For a new customer, the first administrator is created and the login details are sent by email. The customer is responsible for securely storing the login details and password.
