8.3 Connection to public network

Connection to public network makes it possible for selected Link Connections in a Link Network to reach specified IP ranges on the Internet. IP addresses that are not specified in the policy are not reachable on the Internet.

This policy is created manually and each network can hold multiple policies of this type. The policy can be turned on or off and include one or more Link Connections.

Note that the same Link Connection can also be included in more the one Connection to Internet policies or Connection to public network.

Connections to public network can in a proper way, be used for example, to send measurement data to an Internet server.
