Release notes v3.0
Release date: December 1, 2020
The main focus of this release has been to upgrade AddSecure Link to run on 100% Linux.
Bottlenecks have been removed and communications, databases, and web portal will be faster and more stable.
Following new features are available in v3.0
New Subscriptions with Tele2
Link is now introducing new subscriptions together with Tele2, which provides the following benefits:
- Low and competitive prices
- Non-steered network roaming
The subscriptions have the following communication plans:
- 1MB to 5GB subscriptions, fixed and pooled bundles using roaming in the European Union and EES countries.
- 2GB to 100GB subscriptions, fixed and pooled bundles using Tele2 network in Sweden.
Function to import and activate SIM
This feature is useful when preparing terminals/units in advance and becomes a powerful tool for project delivery when fitting SIMs in advance. Partners can now swiftly import SIMs by using an Excel template to reduce time-consuming administration.

The function can be used to:
- Register Name and Description on an inactive SIM.
- Activate a batch of SIMs with unique naming/description.
- Whitelist SIMs to be accessible from AddSecure Service Activator or Link Manager app .
Is the VPN access online?
In the current version of Link (ver. 2.8), it is possible to see which SIM cards that are connected to the mobile network. In the new version, you can now also see which VPN user accesses and VPN system accesses are connected to your Link Network.

The function enables the possibility to view the connection history. In the access logs all VPN user access and VPN system access activities are available and searchable based on time or individual view.
Improvements
- Link Partners can now freely move SIM-cards between their customers.
- When entering a Network, the grid with Link Connection is changed. The ICCD is removed and the Description field is displayed instead.
- Invoices are sent via e-mail to the user instead of being downloaded, which provides a better customer experience.
- In the notification list, a new ICCID field is added allowing the user to see more clearly which Link Connection the notification applies to. The field is clickable which makes it easier for the user to immediately modify the subscription.
- The dashboard now also shows the number of Link Connections that are included in each pool and on which the calculations are based.
- In the current version of Link, policy rules update the entire firewall rule set, which in some cases results in a short communication interruption for all units. This release will instead use a diff table when reconfiguring a firewall rule. Therefore, only devices that are added or modified in policy rules will be affected.
Bugfixes
- When processing an order, ICCID is now validated and checked to see if the SIM belongs to the correct mobile operator.
- The number of users in a monitoring group is now correctly calculated.
